TICK SERVICE

TICK SERVICE

Collier Pest Control first surveys the house or business to look for the most active area, picking up furniture cushions to treat under them and pick up any object on the floor that should not be treated.
The technician needs to get all information explained and paperwork completed after surveying the house or business.  The technician must ask you the customer to not be in the house or business till we are completed with the service and the floors are dry.

We then treat with a contact spray all live ticks that can be located and seen. The next procedure is to treat all lower, 3 feet up or lower not high, cracks, crevices and voids with our regular residual insect sprays; such as, spray residual or dusts. The next procedure is to treat lightly, with a repellant product, the bottoms of any furniture that can be treated and along all baseboard areas.  We do not lift or move any furniture. The last procedure is to treat all the flooring with a growth regulator and a residual killing insecticide aerosol floor product. We will treat all areas your pet has frequented and deposited ticks including the closets, on top of furniture tables, wall unit shelving, under beds, and up the walls 3 to 4 feet.

You could see ticks new seed ticks up to two months after this treatment, because the ticks hatching cycle is from 19 to 60 days during regular Southwest Florida temperatures.  If temperatures drop the hatching time could extend longer.  If you do see any ticks, they should be dead from the materials we applied to the house.  If you do not see a reduction of ticks or dead ticks after 2 weeks you should call us back to check it out all your active areas.

Don't panic, call 239-455-4300, Collier Pest Control for a complete explanation on our tick service or any of our services and look us up on our website www.collierpestcontrol.com  Remember Florida does not have to be shared with insects.
