WOLF SPIDER
THE WOLF SPIDER: is very common here in Southwest Florida and is usually found outside on the ground, where it is well-camouflaged. These large hairy running spiders are often confused with tarantulas. The Wolf Spider is identified by its bottom row of eyes consist of 4
small eyes of equal size. The top row of eyes is curved backward with the center 2 eyes larger in size. This scary looking spider can grow up to 1 to 1 ½ inches of body length with a leg span up to 3 to 4 inches.
The Wolf Spider is a hunting spider and constructs on webs. They are commonly found outside but will invade your home looking for a food source. They could be seen running across your floor, crawling up your walls, or even just standing in a corner their attached to your ceiling.
