JUMPING SPIDER
DEADLY OR JUST A HOAX
This small striped dark spider is a subject of an email hoax claiming that it was a fatal spider found lurking under toilet seats in North Florida. The hoax claims that 3 people died after being bit from this spider hiding under the seat of a public toilet. Similar reports have been made in different parts of the world claiming the “butt spider” hiding under toilet seats biting and killer people. NO SUCH EVENTS EVER OCCURRED, and the story is considered an urban legend.
The less and ½ inch white stripped spider with red hairs around the eyes, is venomous, but poses no danger to humans with its bite.
